The Chisos Basin is the heart of Big Bend National Park.  With elevations ranging up to 7,800 feet, it's also the highest part of Big Bend, and thus the coolest (and most popular) during the summer months.  I took a hike here on a stormy afternoon with lightning and thunder in the distance and, in between raindrops, shot this panorama.  Then a few minutes later, it poured.
